Located in Salisbury, on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, Second Wind, Inc. is a 7 bed halfway house program for men seeking a structured, supportive living situation following a 28 day inpatient stay.
Supported by a state grant, Second Wind, Inc. follows the ASAM Criteria for level III.1.
We provide treatment planning, individual and group counseling; 2 in a room housing; a cook making nutritious dinners Mondays and Thursdays, breakfast and lunch on your own, 24/7 staffing; Air Conditioning; high speed Internet and house computer; cable, DVD, and TV; support for employment, insurance, mental health appointments, daily 12 step meetings, expectations for sponsor, home groups, special projects, family programs and Aftercare.
Criteria for admission into Second Wind, Inc.:
Male, 18 and over
Referred by a drug and alcohol inpatient facility
Motivated to remain clean and sober
Mentally, emotionally and physically stable
Willing to live in a group home environment
Willing to abide by house rules and regulations
Willing and able to gain employment
Agree to support the house through tasks and rent
Able to follow recovery recommendations
